SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — With the November election just months away, candidates across the Bay Area are ramping up their campaigns and making their case to voters.
In San Francisco, around 200 people gathered at the Southeast Community Center for a candidate forum focused on one of the city’s most closely watched races: the District 10 Board of Supervisors seat.
The forum was co-moderated by KRON 4 Anchor Stephanie Lin and organized by the Eastern Neighborhoods Democratic Club, along with the Black Women Organized for Political Action and the Asian Pacific American Community Center. The Willie B. Kennedy Democratic Club also contributed to the event.
Ten candidates who qualified for the November ballot participated in the discussion, answering questions and sharing their priorities with voters.

District 10 includes several diverse neighborhoods, including Potrero Hill, Dogpatch, Bayview-Hunters Point, Candlestick Point, Visitacion Valley, and surrounding areas. The district includes a mix of residential communities, industrial areas, and major development projects that could shape the future of the city.
The forum was designed to give residents, small business owners, and community members a chance to hear directly from candidates about issues affecting the district.
The winner of the November election will succeed Supervisor Shamann Walton, who is unable to run again after serving two terms on the Board of Supervisors.
