Bay Area Faces Double Whammy Of Triple-Digit Temperatures And Coastal Flooding

Temperatures in all areas are expected to reach into the upper 90s and triple digits in all areas, with some areas reaching as high as 105 degrees. Nighttime lows are expected to range from the mid-60s to the low 80s, especially in higher elevations.

The coast remains mild, with temperatures topping out around 70 degrees. However, a Coastal Flood Advisory is also in effect along the San Francisco, San Pablo, and Monterey bays, with up to 1.7 feet of inundation expected in low-lying areas near high-tide times. Visitors are reminded to allow extra time for travel and avoid driving around barricades or through water.
