Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority will hold five community meetings
The 12.4-mile side-running system will run along Vermont Avenue from Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood to 120th Street in South Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority will hold five community meetings from Aug. 10 to 15 to present final designs for stations on the Vermont Transit Corridor Bus Rapid Transit project.
The 12.4-mile side-running system will run along Vermont Avenue from Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood to 120th Street in South Los Angeles. Metro projects the line will carry more than 66,000 daily riders and reduce end-to-end travel times by 24%, saving riders about 17 minutes per trip. The project is expected to open by 2028.
Meetings are scheduled as follows:
An in-person session will take place Monday, Aug. 10, at 6 p.m. at the Roy A. Anderson Recreation Center Expo Center Multipurpose Room, 3991 Hoover Street.
Virtual meetings are set for Tuesday, Aug. 11, at noon (bit.ly/metrobrtlunch) and 6 p.m. (bit.ly/metrobrtevening).
Another in-person meeting is planned for Thursday, Aug. 13, at 6 p.m. at Los Angeles City College Student Union, 798 North Heliotrope Drive.
A final in-person meeting will be held Saturday, Aug. 15, at 10 a.m. at the Metro Talent Hub, 8501 South Vermont Place.
The project is designed to include dedicated bus lanes, transit signal priority, off-vehicle fare payment and all-door boarding. Plans call for 26 stations at 13 locations with shelters, real-time arrival displays and other amenities. It will connect to four Metro rail lines and more than 20 east-west bus routes.
