SAN LUIS OBISPO – An 80th-minute San Francisco own goal cancelled out a 35th-minute penalty conversion from the Dons as the Cal Poly men’s soccer program’s Sunday exhibition ended in a 1-1 draw at Mustang Memorial Field.
Juniors Colin Pearce and Roman Anast co-led Cal Poly with three attempts apiece as the Mustangs outshot San Francisco, 13-8.
Three Mustang goalkeepers appeared in frame with freshman Matthew Guerra playing a team best 33 minutes and sophomore Ben Oetman recording two saves.
Cal Poly completes preparations for the regular season with a Saturday, Aug. 15 exhibition at No. 9 Stanford. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
