San Diego Museum of Art has laid off nearly a dozen employees in an effort to reduce operating costs.

Locally, Mayor Todd Gloria has also proposed slashing over 11-million dollars of the city’s nearly 14-million-dollar budget for the arts and culture earlier this year. But, 10-million-dollars was restored to the budget with support from the Presbys Foundation.
