The appointment, effective August 10, covers employers with up to 2,999 employees, the middle and select market tiers that are now Cigna’s primary growth engine. In Q2 2026, the company reported total medical customers at 18.4 million, up 2% from year-end 2025. Gains in those two tiers offset a decline in national accounts, according to the company’s Q2 earnings release.
