A shooting in Long Beach left three women injured late Sunday night, police said.
The gunfire erupted around 11:23 p.m. in the 100 block of Pacific Coast Highway, blocks away from Long Beach Polytechnic High School, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
“Two victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries to their lower body, and a third victim sustained a gunshot wound to her torso and is in critical condition,” an LBPD spokesperson confirmed to KTLA early Monday morning.

All three women were rushed to a local hospital. Video from the scene posted to the Citizen App shows that police officers had blocked off a liquor store parking lot as they combed the area for evidence.
Authorities did not give any indication that a suspect or suspects were in custody. The investigation, as of Monday morning, remained in its preliminary stages.
No further details, including a potential motive, were immediately released; however, in an updated statement, Long Beach police said the incident is not believed to be a random act of violence.
