A woman came face-to-face with an intruder sipping an energy drink Thursday night in an unsettling encounter in the kitchen of her Playa Vista home.
Authorities told NBC4 Investigates the woman heard a noise and found the man drinking a Monster Energy drink from her refrigerator. The woman locked herself in a room and called her husband, who was walking the couple’s dog.
The husband returned home and confront the man, who was arrested as he left the residence. The man in his 50s, who police said is homeless, was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
