An investigation is underway following a deadly crash involving an e-bike, the Santa Ana Police Department announced Tuesday.
The crash was reported sometime before 7:50 p.m. near Santa Ana Boulevard and Santiago Street, police said. There, an e-bike and a vehicle crashed, resulting in one death.
Police did not elaborate on who died in the incident. Details on what led up to the crash remain under investigation.
Santa Ana police ask the public to avoid the area until further notice as they investigate the scene. Details on the deceased, such as their age and gender, were not released.
Tuesday’s deadly crash follows a separate incident involving an e-bike in Santa Ana. The police department said it’s looking for the hit-and-run driver who left a man hospitalized after striking him on Monday.
