BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man was arrested after officials allegedly found a firearm and ammunition at a home in south Bakersfield on Monday, according to the Kern County Probation Department.

On Aug. 10, officers with the county’s probation department conducted a home call in the 500 block of East Fairview Road.

Officers made contact with the man living there, who is on mandatory supervision and felony probation, according to officials.

During a search of the home, officers found a loaded .31 caliber revolver and ammunition, probation officials said.

The man was arrested for charges related to possession of a firearm as a felon, possession of ammunition as a prohibited person and violation of his supervision and probation, according to the probation department.
