An annual celebration of the community of Natomas is coming this weekend, bringing neighbors and community leaders together on Saturday.
The 16th Celebrate Natomas festival is Saturday at South Natomas Community Center Park, and all are invited to share the love for the Natomas community.
Sacramento Vice Mayor Karina Talamantes, who represents Natomas in city council, is hosting the free weekend party in collaboration with Mayor Kevin McCarty, Sacramento City Councilman Eric Guerra and Councilman Roger Dickinson.
Roughly 1,000 attendees are anticipated for the annual celebration, according to a news release from Talamantes’ office. Here’s everything to check out at the 16th annual Celebrate Natomas.

The annual block party is set to be held at the 2921 Truxel Road community space on Saturday from 5 p.m.-8:30 p.m., according to an online flyer for the event.
Live musicians will perform covers of songs by James Brown and Bruno Mars, while students from School of Rock perform their original pieces for attendees.
Local Sacramento-area food trucks will serve meals to attendees, and there will be a beer garden for adults over 21. Children can enjoy the party with a bounce house, face painting and a photo booth.
Other community vendors will have items for sale and organizers will raffle various prizes to festival attendees, according to an online event listing.
Festival attendees can bike to the community center park and valet their bicycle for free at the celebration. A free shuttle service through Regional Transit will also be available to transport partygoers from Natomas High School to the community park every 10–15 minutes, according to festival organizers.
