Sacramento County
Athletics Baseball
The Athletics will play in a three-game series at Sutter Health Park against the Texas Rangers. You can catch the A’s play Friday at 6:40 p.m., Saturday at 6:40 p.m. and Sunday at 1:05 p.m. You can also purchase tickets here.
Monster Jam
Monster Jam is coming to Golden 1 Center and will feature 12,000-pound trucks competing in death-defying stunts. You can catch the event on Saturday at 12 p.m. or 6 p.m., and on Sunday at 1 p.m. Doors open one hour before the event, and tickets can be purchased here.
Harry Potter Drone Show
1,200 drones will illuminate the sky alongside music from Harry Potter films this weekend at Cal Expo Race Track. You can catch the event on Friday or Saturday from 8:45 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets begin at $56 for GA and can be purchased here.
Sac Republic FC
Sacramento Republic FC is taking on Lexington SC on Saturday night at Heart Health Park in Cal Expo. The match kicks off at 8 p.m. and will mark Native American Heritage Night. You can purchase tickets here.
“Off Campus Night” at Ace of Spades
Celebrate the prime original series with a night of dancing to the soundtrack anthems on Friday. The concert starts at 8:30 p.m., and you must be 18+ to attend. You can purchase tickets here.
Banana Festival
The annual Banana Festival at William Land Park is returning for its 15th year on Aug. 15-16 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Third Sunday Drives
California Automobile Museum is hosting “Sunday Drives” and offering free rides in classic cars with paid museum admission. The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, and no reservation is needed.

Jason Aldean
Country music singer and songwriter Jason Aldean is taking his “Songs About Us” tour to Toyota Amphitheater on Friday. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m., and tickets can be purchased here.

Bee Gees Fever (Tribute)
Cover band Bee Gees Fever is set to perform 3 decades’ worth of Gibb brothers’ songs at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The event is part of the Roseville Summer Concert Series in Vernon Street Town Square. The concert is free to attend, and food and drinks will be available to purchase.
Nevada County
Nevada County Fair
“California’s Most Beautiful Fairgrounds” will continue this weekend at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Aug. 12-16 and features a rodeo, livestock, exhibits, rides, and music. The fair is celebrating Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, and active and retired military (who show ID) can receive free admission. Tickets to the fair can be purchased here.

El Tri at Bob Hope Theatre
Mexican rock band El Tri is bringing their “ADICTO AL ROCANROL” tour to Bob Hope Theatre on Sunday. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the event begins at 9 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.

Yolo County Fair
California’s largest free admission fair closes out August 14-16 at the Yolo County Fairgrounds from 12 p.m. t0 12 a.m. The event features carnival rides, concerts, and food vendors.
