The San Francisco Improv Festival is making its return after a six-year hiatus, bringing live comedy back to the city across a five-day event. The once-annual festival was sidelined by the COVID-19 pandemic, and its former host venue, PianoFight, permanently closed its doors. Organizers worked to bootstrap funding for this year’s festival and secured a new home at Silk Road, a bar located near Union Square.
