Pedro Fernández is extending his ‘Ave Fénix Two’r’ through the fall with a run of dates across Mexico and the United States, bringing more than 4 decades of hits to major theatres and arenas on both sides of the border. The Live Nation-promoted tour began in July and now continues into December, with stops in Mexico City, Inglewood, New York, Chicago-area Rosemont, Las Vegas, Denver, Houston, San Antonio, Phoenix and San Diego.
The tour arrives as Fernández continues celebrating one of the most enduring careers in Mexican music, built on songs including “Yo No Fui,” “Amarte a la Antigua,” “Mi Forma de Sentir” and “El Aventurero.” The new production is being presented as a reimagined live experience, pairing the songs that have followed him across generations with a large-scale stage show designed for longtime fans and newer audiences alike.
Presales are already underway, with the general on-sale beginning August 14 at 10 a.m. local time. Among the biggest dates are October 15 at YouTube Theater in Inglewood, November 4 at Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York, November 6 at Rosemont Theatre and November 19 at Payne Arena in Hidalgo, Texas.
Fernández’s career has stretched across more than 40 years, giving him a catalogue deep enough to move easily between romantic ballads, traditional Mexican music and crowd favourites that have become permanent parts of his live shows. That longevity is a major part of the appeal of the new tour, which is built around revisiting the songs that first made him a star while presenting them with a fresh production.
The routing also reflects the size of Fernández’s audience beyond Mexico, with a substantial U.S. leg stretching through California, New York, Illinois, Nevada, Colorado, Texas and Arizona. The final currently announced date lands December 5 at Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre in San Diego.
