The Vision of Children Foundation (VOC) recently announced its participation in San Diego Gives 2026, the region’s largest day of giving, taking place Thursday, Sept. 17. The 24-hour campaign unites hundreds of local nonprofits and their supporters in a shared effort to strengthen the San Diego community, a news release stated.
VOC is grateful for the generous support of the Copley Foundation, whose partnership helps power the organization’s mission to fund cutting-edge research into inherited childhood blindness and vision disorders. Now, VOC needs the community’s help to build on that momentum, according to the news release.
“Every gift made on September 17 brings us one step closer to breakthroughs that restore hope to families affected by rare genetic vision conditions,” said Yvette Letourneau, executive director of Vision of Children Foundation, in the news release. “With the Copley Foundation already behind us, we’re asking our community to join in and help us go even further.”
Donations made during San Diego Gives will directly support VOC’s research initiatives and its Project Vision Aid program serving K-12 students.
