OAKLAND — A two-alarm fire displaced 25 people and killed two dogs Thursday night in East Oakland, fire officials said.
The blaze broke out around 6:35 p.m. at a three-story apartment building in the 2600 block of International Boulevard, according to Oakland fire spokesperson Michael Hunt.
Crews arrived to find two upper-floor units in flames, Hunt said. The fire was declared under control around 7:10 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
The Red Cross is providing assistance to the displaced residents, according to Hunt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
