School is mostly schooling (with a few exceptions), and the weather is cooling (sort of, all told), and something feasty and fantastic has dropped into the inboxes of our lives right at the heart of August, which is definitely when we could use a little summer-ending treat.
It’s Dine LA Restaurant Week, that sizable stalwart of sup-ready savings.
And we aren’t kidding when we say “sizable”: As always, an absolutely huge group of restaurants join the two-week event, serving all types of cuisine, or just about, over a large line-up of regional cities.
The dates? Try a new place or support a longtime favorite from Aug. 14 through 28.
Let’s talk prices: Not every eatery offers lunch during Dine LA, but many do, and the cost for the earlier-in-the-day meal, which is often two courses, starts at $15.
Dinners at a few spots can also kick off at $15, but you’ll find range of prices, heading up to $65 and upwards, for multi-course meals that can lean toward the fancier or rarer or you-gotta-try-this-now-er.
The Dine LA menus are pre-chosen by the restaurant, of course, so do go in knowing that.
You can count on the dishes to reflect the best of the business or something especially seasonal and of the moment; the restauranteurs always make a point of making prix fixe picks the showiest and yummiest.
Thai, Korean, barbecue, Italian, and seafood are all making strong showings this time around; this roster reveals the theme of each restaurant, if you want a quick and breezy look.
The Derby in Arcadia, Sushi by Scratch in Beverly Hills and Encino, and Amor y Tacos in Cerritos are just a few of the August 2026 eateries on the lengthy list.
Though reservations aren’t required for most spots, walking in and requesting a table may be tricky during the popular foodie fortnight; your best bet is to plan ahead or at least check and see what the policy is, especially on a weekend evening.
