SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The California Highway Patrol activated a Silver Alert Friday morning after an 88-year-old man was reported missing from San Mateo County.
William Marquardt was last seen in Colma near Collins Avenue and El Camino Real on Thursday around 6:40 p.m., CHP said. The Silver Alert was activated in the Bay Area counties of San Mateo, Santa Clara and San Francisco.

The missing man is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 210 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes.
Authorities said Marquardt was last seen wearing a blue puffer jacket, orange shirt, dark blue pants and dark shoes.
CHP believes he is on foot.
Anyone who sees Marquardt is asked to call 911.
