The Encinitas Chamber of Commerce has announced that the 30th Annual Encinitas Oktoberfest will return from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27, bringing a full day of Bavarian-inspired fun, live entertainment, artisan shopping, German food, beer gardens and family-friendly festivities to North County San Diego.

The Chamber is now accepting sponsorships and exhibitor applications for the free regional festival, which is expected to draw more than 10,000 attendees from throughout San Diego County and Southern California, according to a news release.

Stretching one-third of a mile along Mountain Vista Drive off El Camino Real between Wandering Road and Rambling Road, the lively open-air event blends old-world Oktoberfest traditions with the relaxed coastal spirit of Encinitas.

Sponsors have the opportunity to connect with a large and diverse regional audience while supporting one of Encinitas’ most anticipated community celebrations. Artisan vendors and exhibitors are invited to showcase handmade goods, apparel, art, home décor, specialty foods and unique products to thousands of shoppers throughout the day, the news release stated.

Festival highlights will include: Authentic German food and festival favorites, two lively beer gardens, Bavarian music and dance performances, live bands and entertainment, an artisan marketplace and community booths, family-friendly games and activities and the crowd-favorite dog costume contest.

“Encinitas Oktoberfest has become a signature North County tradition that brings together locals and visitors alike for an unforgettable day of community, culture and fun,” said Carol Knight, Encinitas Chamber of Commerce CEO, in the news release. “We’re excited to welcome sponsors, artisans and exhibitors to be part of this milestone 30th anniversary celebration.”
