The first-ever Women’s Lacrosse League champions will be crowned in Subaru Park in Philadelphia. The inaugural championship will go to either the Maryland Charm or the California Palms. It is fitting that these teams are in the final game of the season to crown a first-ever champion after playing in the game of the season back in week two. That matchup went to Maryland in an overtime thriller. They won 18-17 after the teams traded three goals in the final minute of regulation and the start of overtime for one of the most exciting WLL games of the season.

Maryland is led by the trio of Brigid Duffy with 20 points, Sydni Black with 14 goals, and Ashley Humphrey with 14 assists. One of these teams will walk out of Philadelphia as the inaugural WLL Champions.
