St Louis CITY2 extended their unbeaten streak to four matches with a 2-0 shutout win away at San Jose Earthquakes II on Sunday night. Nighte Pickering scored the first of his two goals for the club in the 25th minute off assists from Riley Lynch and Zach Zengue. CITY2 carried the 1-0 lead into halftime, holding San Jose to zero shots on goal. Pickering found the back of the net again in the 54th minute, recording his second professional brace. St. Louis held the 2-0 lead through full time, earning their ninth win of the season and maintaining fifth place in the Western Conference standings. 

CITY2 returns home to Energizer Park next Sunday, August 23, to face Houston Dynamo 2 for the final time this season. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. CT.  

Nighte Pickering scored his first two goals with CITY2. The brace was Pickering’s second of his career, with his first occurring in the third round of the U.S. Open Cup in April 2024 against Miami United
