A vandalized fiber line was causing service issues for some AT&T customers in the Reseda area on Sunday, a company spokesperson confirmed.
In a statement, the spokesperson said home phone and internet service was impacted but has since been restored. It’s unclear how many customers were affected.
This comes just a week after Verizon customers across Southern California experienced an outage, also after a vandalism incident.

AT&T said it’s offering up to $20,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of people involved in copper cable theft or the attempted sale or purchase of stolen copper cable. Anyone with information can call local law enforcement and AT&T Global Security at 1-888-871-2622.
Additionally, the company urged the public to report any incidents of people not affiliated with AT&T being seen cutting and removing cables.
