Chipotle Mexican Grill is opening its first restaurant in Saudi Arabia this month as the chain continues to accelerate its international growth strategy.
The Newport Beach-based company will open the new location at the Sidra retail center in the city of Riyadh with its franchise partner Alshaya Group.
Chipotle has opened 16 new restaurants in the Middle East since partnering with the Alshaya Group in 2024, bringing its international store count to more than 100. The fast-food chain also debuted its first restaurant in Mexico in July.
Shares of Chipotle were unchanged during midday trading at $32.76 apiece and a $41 billion market cap (NYSE: CMG).
