BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A woman was arrested after officers allegedly found a semiautomatic pistol and ammunition at a home in northwest Bakersfield on Thursday, according to the Kern County Probation Department.

On Aug. 13, officers with the department’s Adult Probation Services Division conducted a home call in the 11000 block of Darlington Avenue, according to officials.

At the home, officers made contact with a woman who is on felony probation.

During a search, officers reportedly found a 9mm Kahr Arms CW9 semiautomatic pistol and multiple live rounds of ammunition, probation officials said.

The woman was arrested for charges related to possession of a firearm and ammunition by a prohibited person, as well as violation of probation, according to the department.
