Bakersfield police probe hit-and-run that knocked out power; blue Toyota SUV sought

Bakersfield, Calif. (KBAK/FOX58) — Bakersfield police are investigating a hit-and-run collision that knocked out power to a significant portion of the area near the intersection of Mt. Vernon Avenue and University Avenue.

The Bakersfield Police Department said the suspect vehicle is a possible Toyota SUV similar to an FJ Cruiser. It is described as blue and may have front-end damage.

No injuries were reported.
