An overnight earthquake rattled portions of San Diego and the Inland Empire late Tuesday, though no damage or injuries were reported, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The 3.6-magnitude earthquake with a depth of 3 miles struck just after 11:30 p.m. about 10 miles east of Palomar Mountain and about 8 miles north of Warner Springs.
People in Oceanside, Escondido and as far south as central San Diego reported feeling weak shaking while people closer to Hemet and Riverside reported and even Ontario reported light shaking, according to USGS’s “Did You Feel It” citizen gathering tool.
