BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office released additional details on a murder-suicide in northeast Bakersfield in December 2025.
The man was identified as Pedro Juan Rivera Gonzalez, 49, and the woman was identified as Francis B. Lainez Romero, 55, both of Bakersfield, according to the coroner’s office.
Wednesday the coroner’s office released that Romero’s cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds and the manner was homicide.
Gonzalez’s cause and manner of death has not been released.
Just after 10 p.m. on Dec. 25, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2700 block of Blade Avenue.
Both were found dead at the scene.
