BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department is looking for a possible blue Toyota SUV that is responsible for a hit-and-run crash near Bakersfield College Tuesday night. Police said that the crash caused a power outage in the area.
Bakersfield police said it happened at the intersection of Mount Vernon Avenue and University Avenue at around 9:50 p.m. Tuesday night.
The suspect vehicle is described as a possible blue Toyota SUV, similar to a FJ Cruiser.
Police said there is possible front-end damage.
According to police, there were no injuries reported in the crash.
The crash has disrupted power to a significant portion of the area.
