An affordable housing deal with Del Mar has been stopped in its tracks.

After two years of negotiations, the agreement to try and build state mandated affordable housing on fairgrounds property is off the table.

The city and board that runs the Del Mar Fairgrounds could not reach an agreement reports The Voice of San Diego.

Now, the city will have to potentially move forward with a housing project that it’s already rejected, building on the North Bluff site, where a controversial housing project is waiting to be built. However, developers are currently doing Del Mar for reject that project.
