FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — The Big Fresno Fair is warning the community to watch out for phishing and impersonation scams as fair season approaches.

Fair officials say legitimate vendor communications will come from an @fresnofair.com email address, e.g. vendors@fresnofair.com.

The fair will also never request sensitive information through social media comments or ask for payments through Zelle, Venmo or Cash App, unless specifically noted.

Before clicking links or sending money, officials recommend checking the sender’s full email address and verifying any unexpected payment requests directly with the fair.

Anyone who receives a suspicious message can contact the Big Fresno Fair at info@fresnofair.com or 559-650-FAIR (3247).
