DS Night Market is officially closing its doors, but before the beloved Chinatown market disappears for good, there’s one last chance to take a little piece of it home.
The longtime Chinatown gathering spot is hosting a final garage sale this Friday at 3 p.m. at Chinatown Central Plaza, with everything from market tents and tables to cooking equipment, cleaning supplies, and plenty of random DS finds up for grabs.
DS Night Market’s final garage sale
Everything must go, so shoppers are encouraged to bring a car and plenty of trunk space, as some of the items are on the larger side.
You don’t have to buy anything either. Organizers are also inviting longtime visitors to simply stop by, say goodbye, and take in the final moments of a market that brought countless meals, songs, conversations, and late nights to the plaza.
For DS Night Market, the sale marks the end of an era. The tents once sheltered hundreds of nights, while the tables hosted thousands of meals and helped transform an otherwise empty plaza into a lively community gathering place.
Now, those same items will get a second life with someone else.
📅When: Friday at 3 p.m.
📍Where: Chinatown Central Plaza (932 Mei Ling Way, Los Angeles, CA 90012)
Chinatown Car Night is coming Sept. 5th
While DS Night Market is closing, Chinatown Central Plaza isn’t going quiet.
On September 5, 2026, the plaza will welcome Chinatown Car Night, featuring a lineup of 80s and 90s Japanese and European cars, vintage motorcycles, food, music, art, games, photography, and more.
Additional lineup announcements are expected soon.
It may be the end of DS Night Market, but Chinatown continues to evolve. One chapter is closing, while another is already pulling into the plaza.
So stop by Friday to say goodbye to DS. And come back on September 5 to see Chinatown come alive in a whole new way.
