A student was stabbed during a fight at Oakland’s Castlemont High School on Thursday, according to police.
Officers responded to the school shortly after 10:15 a.m. and found the student suffering from “injuries from an assault,” police said.

The student was transported to a hospital and is expected to recover, authorities said.
During the investigation, police learned the student was stabbed during a fight involving other students. Those students were detained in connection with the incident, according to police.
This is the second violent incident on an Oakland Unified campus in the last month.
In July, a woman was shot and killed at Parker Resource Center, an adult education campus in East Oakland.
