A 57-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shootings of three Los Angeles residents earlier this month, police said.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division said Patrick Kevin Spurlock was arrested Aug. 14 in the 6600 block of Franklin Avenue. He was booked on suspicion of murder and held without bail, according to police.
Investigators said Spurlock and the three victims — Jeremiah Badeker, Jack Cartegena and Michael Bogacz — were gathered inside an apartment in the 1900 block of Wilcox Avenue during the early morning hours of July 24.
Police said an altercation occurred inside the apartment, after which the victims were ordered to the floor at gunpoint. The suspect then shot the three victims multiple times, authorities said.
The victims were discovered several days later and were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The case has been presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of criminal charges.
