The soon-to-be-opened Lucas Museum of Narrative Art has already sold out its opening day on Sept. 22 and several other early dates, including the first weekend. If you want to get in on the early days after opening, you’d better buy your tickets online now.
Tickets, which went on sale to the public July 21, are now available for purchase online for visits through Feb. 28.
This new museum founded by filmmaker George Lucas and his wife, businesswoman Mellody Hobson, is located on 11 acres in the northwest corner of Los Angeles Exposition Park. It’s devoted to the art of storytelling through images, including Lucas’ vast personal collection amassed over 50 years.
The current galleries include classic and modern comics, children’s stories, fantasy, history, community, art and artists. The Lucas Archives include extensive collections of materials from the Star Wars and Indiana Jones movies.
Timed entry ticket prices are $25 for adults, $21 for seniors, free for kids and teens 17 and under and also free for active-duty military. Founding annual memberships start at $140 which includes admission for two people.
