BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a burglary at Kern Oil Exchange.
BPD said a man was involved with a theft on June 28 around 1:05 a.m., where the suspect forced entry into the Kern Oil Exchange, located at 5654 Auburn St.
Police said the suspect stole currency and fled on a purple bike.
The suspect is described as a man with a thin build and short dark hair.

At the time of the theft, he was wearing a gray shirt, green shorts, brown work boots and a black face mask. Officials said he was also carrying a blue backpack.
BPD is asking for anyone with information about the theft or the suspect to contact Detective C. Perkins at 661-326-3947, or the police department at 661-327-7111.
