A hazardous material incident has prompted the closure of the 605 Freeway near the City of Industry, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident was reported shortly before 10 a.m. after reports of an unknown substance was leaking from a trailer onto the roadway north of the 60 Freeway.
At around 1:30 p.m., CHP officers shut down the northbound and southbound lanes of the 605 Freeway between the 10 and 60 freeways.
CHP Officers and additional personnel are on scene working diligently to open the roadway as soon as possible, the CHP said.
Drivers were advised to find alternate routes such as the 10, 60, 5 or 710 freeways.
No further details were immediately available.
