San Diego should be painting the town’s curbs red

Regarding “daylighting” law enforcement (“La Jolla remains a hot spot for ‘daylighting’ tickets,” La Jolla Crime and Public Safety News, Oct. 9, La Jolla Light):

It seems to me there is a disconnect between enforcement of the new daylighting law and painting curbs red.

Why isn’t the city [of San Diego] prioritizing painting those curbs that are getting the most tickets? A more cynical person might say it’s because the city wants violation revenue more than driver compliance.
