Federal authorities seized former Rep. Eric Swalwell’s iPhone and MacBook Pro on Saturday, according to a search warrant obtained by The Standard.
The warrant shows that the devices — which included a charging cable and wall charger — were seized at 8:25 p.m. on Saturday, though it does not specify the location. News outlets reported Thursday that Swalwell was searched Saturday at San Francisco International Airport, and his home in Washington, D.C., was raided Sunday.
The warrant was certified by Kyle R. Biebesheimer, an FBI agent in the San Francisco field office’s Public Corruption and Civil Rights Squad, according to recently filed documents. The warrant was filed Aug. 13 in the Northern District of California and assigned to Magistrate Judge Thomas S. Hixson.
The Department of Justice, FBI, and Swalwell’s attorney did not respond to requests for comment.
