BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified a man who died after being stabbed as 24-year-old Kidon Dupree Perry of Bakersfield.

The Bakersfield Police Department said on Monday, August 17th, 2026, at around 3:30 p.m., officers were called to a home in the 400 block of White Lane for a report of a victim, later identified as Perry, suffering from severe injuries from stab wounds.
Police said emergency medical personnel pronounced Perry dead at the scene.
BPD homicide detectives began investigating and arrested 21-year-old Erionna Russel.
Police said Russel and Perry knew each other.
