One person died Monday morning in a shooting near Oakland’s San Antonio neighborhood.
The person was found shot just after 10:30 a.m. on the 2000 block of 23rd Avenue by officers who were alerted by a gunshot detection system, according to the Oakland Police Department. The person was declared dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the person’s name, nor have they given any indication about a motive for the shooting.
No arrests have been announced.
