A health-food chain will open one of its stores at Sacramento State this week.
The “fast-casual superfood brand” Everbowl will hold its grand opening on Aug. 26 at River Front Center at Sacramento State. The university is located at 6000 J St.
The business sells layered acai bowls, sweet and savory toasts, and smoothies, with an emphasis on “superfood” ingredients such as chia seeds, spirulina, and hemp seeds.
Everbowl was founded in 2016, and there are more than 100 locations around the country. The owner of the Riverfront location is Josh Feldman. “Opening at the Riverfront puts us right where students live, so grabbing something better-for-you is as easy as stepping out of the residence halls,” said Feldman in a press release.
Another Everbowl is also scheduled to open within the University Union in fall 2026, according to the Sacramento State campus dining website. Currently, the University Union location is hiring staff.
