Los Angeles City Planning will hold a community outreach event on Saturday, Aug. 29, to discuss the Missing Middle LA initiative, which aims to expand neighborhood-scale housing options across the city, including in Venice.

The meeting is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sadie’s Studio, 8342 Lincoln Blvd. in Westchester. Officials will present proposed changes focused on smaller, more attainable homes such as duplexes, small-lot homes and accessory dwelling units that fall between traditional single-family houses and large apartment buildings.

Residents are invited to learn about the proposals, ask questions and share feedback directly with city planners. Registration is required.
