AUBERRY, Calif. (FOX26) — Fresno County leaders are inviting residents in the Shaver Springs communities to a meeting aimed at addressing ongoing concerns about water quality, billing, and state guidance, as well as correcting what the county says is misinformation circulating online.
On Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 6 to 7 p.m., Fresno County Supervisor Nathan Magsig and other county leaders will hold a “community conversation” at Pine Ridge School’s cafeteria.
Fresno County Waterworks District 40 (WWD 40) serves the Shaver Springs subdivision located in the mountain area east of Tollhouse Road in Fresno County.

County officials said they plan to walk residents through what is happening with WWD40, provide updates, and answer questions.
County leaders said they are “committed to transparency” and will address questions directly so residents have “reliable details about water quality, billing concerns, recent State guidance, and the County’s continued advocacy with State partners.”
The county said many WWD40 residents are “frustrated, confused, and understandably concerned,” and that the meeting is intended to provide “clear, verified facts directly from Fresno County.”
Fresno County’s Department of Public Works and Planning also said it will soon post an FAQ page that is being “fast-tracked” to create a centralized resource of factual information.
