BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the person found dead Tuesday night in Lake Ming as a 16-year-old boy.
Anthony Camacho, 16, of Bakersfield entered Lake Ming at around 4:52 p.m. Aug. 25, according to the coroner’s office.

Bakersfield Fire Department and Kern County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue teams searched the area for over three hours.
Bakersfield Search and Rescue and Dive teams, KCSO’s Air Support unit and a drone responded to the search. The Kern County Fire Department also assisted by raft and drone, according to sheriff’s officials.
Camacho was found dead in the water just after 7 p.m. by KCSO Search and Rescue personnel, according to the coroner.
A postmortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of his death, officials said.
According to KCSO, three people had been initially struggling in the water. The other two individuals made it to safety.
