FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Four people are without a home after a late night fire significantly damaged a Fresno house Tuesday, according to the Fresno Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived just before 11 p.m. to a home on East Terrace Avenue after multiple 911 callers reported seeing smoke and flames coming from a home.

When crews arrived, they found a fire burning in the backyard that spread into the home’s attic.

During the fire, power lines fell into the backyard, creating an additional hazard for firefighters.

Everyone inside the home was able to evacuate safely, and no injuries were reported.

The attic had significant damage, displacing four adults. The American Red Cross was requested to assist them.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
