Bay Area residents will have a chance to watch a partial lunar eclipse Thursday night, weather permitting, at the Chabot Space & Science Center in Oakland.
The center will start hosting the lunar eclipse watch party at 7 p.m. at its facility at 10000 Skyline Blvd. as the moon passes into Earth’s shadow.
The partial eclipse is expected to begin at 7:33 p.m., with the eclipse reaching its maximum at 9:12 p.m., according to the event information.
