He was arrested Sunday in East Palestine after York responded to an undercover ad that was posted on a known prostitute website.
The incident report states that York messaged the phone number on the ad and advised to the undercover officer that he would like to visit.
York messaged the number several times before he was provided a meeting address in a mobile home park to engage in sexual activity for $160.
When he arrived at the meeting location, he was directed by the undercover to go back out to the main road and was then stopped by marked units.
The incident report says he was driving a rental car at the time of the arrest.
York posted $5,000 bond, and pleaded no contest Monday to the charges.
According to court records, York was found guilty of two misdemeanor charges: possessing criminal tools and disorderly conduct. He was originally charged with engaging in prostitution, but it was amended to the disorderly conduct charge.
York was sentenced to two days in the Columbiana County Jail and ordered to pay $1,150 in fines.
An expungement request has also been filed, according to the court docket.
