A sport utility vehicle crashed into an Employment Development Department office in Sacramento on Thursday morning, injuring the driver, California Highway Patrol traffic logs showed.

A white Nissan Murano crashed into the building at 5007 Broadway near the West Tahoe Park neighborhood about 10:20 a.m., according to logs reviewed by The Sacramento Bee. It was not immediately known what caused the crash.

Firefighters transported the driver to UC Davis Medical Center in stable condition, according to the Sacramento Fire Department.

The driver appeared to be the only person injured in the crash, EDD spokesperson Anne Chapuis said.

EDD and the state Department of General Services were assessing the damage Thursday and working to temporarily secure the affected area, Chapuis said. Services at the office continued, she said.
