A PEDESTRIAN in Westminster was fatally hit by a car (Shutterstock).
A pedestrian walking in the area of Bolsa Avenue and Ward Street in Westminster in the pre-dawn hours on Friday was fatally injured when struck by an automobile.
According to Commander William Drinnin of the WPD, the incident was reported to Westminster police at 3:27 a.m. by Garden Grove police, who at first believed the incident was in their jurisdiction.
WPD traffic investigators and patrol officers responded to the scene and made an investigation. The involved driver remained and cooperated with officers.
Driving under the influence does not seem to be a factor in the collision, police believe.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
