BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Highway 58 and Highway 99 are scheduled for overnight lane closures starting the week of Sunday, August 30, said the City of Bakersfield.
Eastbound Highway 58/Coffee Road Bridge:
Full overnight closures of eastbound Highway 58 are set to begin on Sunday, August 30, through Thursday, Sept. 3.
The closure will be in effect each day from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Crews will replace overhead signs along the corridor.
Drivers will be detoured to Coffee Road north, east onto Rosedale Highway, then southbound Highway 99 and merge onto the eastbound Highway 58 connector.
Southbound Highway 99 No. 4 lane
An overnight closure is scheduled for the number four lane (farthest right lane) on southbound Highway 99 on Monday, August 31, and Tuesday, September 1.
This lane will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday as crews remove k-rail along the southbound 99/Ming Avenue off-ramp.
Drivers should expect delays while in the area, use caution when traveling through the impacted area, or plan to use alternate routes.
The City notes that construction work may be postponed and rescheduled without notice due to inclement weather and other unforeseen conditions.
